About Delhi Commission For Protection Of Child Rights (DCPCR)

DCPCR is a statutory body created by an act of Parliament under the Commission For Protection of Child Rights Act, 2005 to act as a monitoring authority for effective implementation of child rights in the state.

About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Examine the complaints that Commission receives related to rights of the children particularly POCSO Act, 2012 and assist the Commission in tracking cases of child sexual abuse/ violence.
2. Provide support to the victim or the family and identify the policy/process breakdown and work for the same.
3. Work and Liason with appropriate government officials to bridge the identified gap through capacity building and streamlining of processes.
4. Assist the Commission in any other work related to child rights that may arise on
need basis.
