Job Description
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Advise the business on all aspects of IPR such as brand, patent and copyright clearance, brand protection and enforcement, IPR aspects of new ventures, marketing campaigns and product launches
2. Handle commercial and transactional IPR matters including drafting IPR agreements (such as assignment, license agreements, technology development agreements and technical collaboration agreements)
3. Conduct IPR due diligence and provide support on IPR matters in larger corporate commercial transactions
4. Draft pleadings and handle oppositions & cancellations pertaining to trademarks and copyrights before IP offices
5. Assist businesses to prevent, navigate and resolve complex legal issues
6. Assist and advise businesses on establishing their company's structure, policies, objectives and procedures for their business operations
