Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:
The new Marketing manager will be responsible for all marketing and fundraising efforts.
This includes but is not limited to:
- Interacting with donors (e.g. sending progress reports or proposals)
- Writing Case Stories
- Organizing all Social Media accounts
- Updating the Website
- Interacting with Funding organizations
- Finding and Researching new fundraising opportunities
- Sending thank you letters and receipts
- Keeping track of all donations
- Sending out and writing Newsletters
- Training staff in the use of technology
- As the department is currently building these duties can be greatly influenced by the candidate.
- We value independent thinking and hope the new manager will shape his or her role.
- Our Marketing team is also each year supported by a German volunteer staying with us for eleven months.
- This will give the opportunity to work together and learn from each other.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Good communications skills
- Fluent English in writing and speaking
- Open-mindedness Being open to the local rural customs and way of living
- Identifying with the Samarthya aims and rules (we are a non-political, non-religious and not for profit organization)
- BBM or MBA or MSW or postgraduate with experience
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- A background/experience in marketing is a bonus
- The salary is negotiable depending on personal experience.
