Job Description

Responsibilities:

1. Converting 3D Models to 2D Models, nesting of Sheetmetal and rearranging and converting them to required formats.

2. Creating 2D Drawings and modifying existing drawings as per requirement.

3. Complete the projects within the deadlines and follow-up vendors regularly.

4. Frequently visit vendor sites and ensure the products are being processed as per drawings especially folding of sheet metals.

5. Communicating with vendors clearly and effectively for all types of requirements such as verifying bills, design modifications, feasibility of methods, etc.

6. Keep tracking of all finished goods and unfinished raw material using MS office tools or special software.

7. Coordinating with design team for possible solutions of Sheetmetal processes as well as keeping updated components in an easy assessable manner & monitoring all the records.

8. Developing and modifying of various electrical, mechanical and machine plant layouts.

Qualification:

1. Degree in B.E. Mechanical Engineering.

2. One or more years of demonstrated experience in AutoCAD & Sheetmetal handling.

3. Knowledge of 2D / AutoCAD drawing tools, commands and smart working techniques.

4. Knowledge of Sheetmetal processes such as shearing, laser cutting, router cutting, other cutting methods, folding, shaping, rolling, fabrication, etc.

5. Drafting of Sheetmetal for folding drawings in Creo.

6. File management knowledge for keeping all soft copies of old, modifying, new and updated drawings.

7. Knowledge of MS office and email communication.

8. Knowledge of 3D Modelling and drafting, BOM Creation are preferrable in Creo.

9. Ability to complete sheet metal projects with accuracy & precision and ensuring all finished components meets the highest quality & inspection methods.

10. Must possess excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skill.

11. Ability to follow direction & work independently.

Responsibilities:

1. With minimal or no supervision, design and develop ideas and concepts using various techniques for new and current machinery or machine components and reviewing the new technical solutions.

2. Review existing components and make amendments to improve their design, performance and efficiency.

3. Development of 3D models from concepts or ideas and preparing 2D drawings for manufacturing and quality inspections.

4. Design test and evaluate complex mechanical systems.

5. To coordinate with machine assembler during assembly of machines.

6. Creating BOM and finalize specifications using special software or MS Office.

7. Candidate should take up complete responsibility for design to manufacturing and should ensure the final product is competed to time and budget.

8. Must express a high level of detail and accountability of completed work.

Qualification:

1. Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

2. Proficient in Creo Parametric and AutoCAD.

3. Minimum 2 years of experience in product design and development especially machinery components.

4. Ability to thrive in a cross functional work environment.

5. Experience in Design calculations, material analyses, machining knowledge.

6. Knowledge of selection and design of various components like gear / sprocket, chain, timing belt / pulley, servo, bearing and linear bushing, Fits, actuators, Pneumatic and Hydraulic devices, material selection, sensors, etc.

7. Knowledge of manufacturing methods & processes.

8. Strong technical knowledge especially in strength of materials, design of machine elements, statics and dynamics of machinery, thermal engineering, etc.

9. Demonstrated initiative in solving problems and the ability to rapidly learn new concepts with little to no supervision .

10. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

11. Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
