Mechanical Design Engineer Jobs Opening in Premix Technologies at Isanpur, Kalupur, Kankaria, Ahmedabad
Job Description
1. Prepare and analysis of datasheet and make GA drawing.
2. Take approval of GA drawing from the client.
3. Prepare manufacturing drawing as per process.
4. Make BOM
5. Knowledge of AutoCAD 2d and Solidwork mandatory.
6. Knowledge of tolerance
7. Knowledge of manufacturing process.
8. Ability to create new design based on requirement.
9. Email communication and English knowledge is mandatory.
10. MS office knowledge is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Mechanical Design & Development:
-
Design mechanical systems and components based on product requirements, ensuring they meet both functional and aesthetic needs.

Develop detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and prototypes using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA).
-
Analyze design concepts, taking into account factors like load, stress, thermal behavior, and material properties.
-
Perform tolerance analysis and calculate dimensional constraints to ensure the manufacturability and functionality of components.
2. Prototyping & Testing:
-
Create prototypes to validate designs and ensure they meet technical specifications.
-
Conduct rigorous testing (functional, environmental, and durability) to ensure designs perform as expected.

Collect and analyze data from tests to refine designs and improve product performance.

Provide recommendations for design improvements based on test results and operational feedback.
3. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
-
Work closely with manufacturing engineers to ensure designs are optimized for production and assembly.

Collaborate with electrical engineers, software engineers, and product managers to ensure that mechanical designs are fully integrated with other product systems.

Coordinate with procurement teams to select materials and components that meet cost, quality, and lead-time requirements.
4. Design Validation & Optimization:

Use simulation tools (e.g., FEA, CFD) to validate mechanical designs for strength, durability, and performance under various conditions.

Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and ease of assembly.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, ASME, CE).
5. Documentation & Reporting:

Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including design specifications, BOM (bill of materials), assembly instructions, and test reports.

Update design documents to reflect changes made during prototyping, testing, or production.

Provide technical support for product development teams, answering questions and offering design solutions.
6. Continuous Improvement & Innovation:

Stay up-to-date with the latest mechanical engineering technologies, tools, and industry trends.

Contribute to process improvements in design methodology, prototyping, testing, and production processes.

Suggest innovative ideas and improvements to enhance product performance, reduce costs, or simplify manufacturing.
