•Quickly pick up on the array of software tools and processes we use in our workflow
•Have a solid understanding of mechanical systems
•Welding knowledge, sheet metal and surfacing
•Design process flow of manufacturing & assembly

•Efficiently communicate with the Tech Lead, Project Managers & all other stake holders

Required Skills and Competencies
1. Technical Skills

Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles.

Proficiency in quality control tools such as CMM, vernier calipers, micrometers, and hardness testers.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes like machining, welding, casting, and sheet metal fabrication.

Familiarity with CAD/CAM tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) for interpreting technical drawings.
-
Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
2. Quality Management Knowledge
-
Expertise in quality standards like ISO 9001, ASME, ASTM, and IATF 16949.

Understanding of Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Gauge R&R studies.

Capability to analyze and interpret statistical data for quality trends.
3. Soft Skills
-
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inspections.

Good communication skills for cross-functional coordination.

Leadership qualities to guide and mentor junior quality inspectors.
