Pay: ₹22000 - ₹30000 per monthJob description:Field Technician – New Installation (Mechanical)Location: Mumbai, chandigarh, delhiDepartment: Projects (New Installation)Role PurposeAs a Field Technician (New Installation) at Gilco Global, you will be responsible forthe mechanical erection, alignment, and site readiness of elevator systems. You willensure that all installations are executed safely, accurately, and in line with Gilco’squality and compliance standards — from receiving materials at site to finalreadiness for commissioning.Key Responsibilities1. Site Readiness & Coordination Inspect and confirm shaft readiness (pit depth, headroom, power supply, silllevels, shaft plumbness, barricading, scaffolding, earthing). Coordinate with civil/electrical teams for preparatory works. Raise site readiness checklists, RFIs, and non-conformity reports whenrequired. Plan site logistics for unloading, handling, and storage of materials in a safeand organized manner.2. Material Handling & Verification Supervise receiving, unpacking, and inspection of materials as per deliverynotes and BOQs. Ensure proper stacking, labeling, and protection of components at site toprevent damage or loss. Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies immediately to the projectcoordinator/logistics team. Track material consumption and balance components through daily logentries.3. Mechanical Installation Install and align guide rails, car frame, counterweight, buffers, safetygear, governor, machine beams, and associated components as perOEM and Gilco Global standards. Fit and adjust landing doors, door frames, operators, and cabin assemblieswithin required tolerances. Follow correct mechanical fastening, torqueing, and leveling procedures usingcalibrated tools. Ensure neat workmanship, proper housekeeping, and waste segregation at alltimes.4. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain daily progress reports (DPR), installation checklists, and sitephotographs via FieldCircle or mobile app. Record materials used, balance quantities, and issues encountered. Report daily progress to the Site Supervisor/Project Manager, highlightingdelays or dependencies. Ensure all reports are submitted on time for project tracking and billingpurposes.5. Safety & Compliance Strictly follow PPE usage and site-specific EHS protocols. Adhere to OEM installation manuals, EN81-20/50, IS 14665, and Gilco’sinternal SOPs. Identify and report unsafe conditions, near misses, or non-complianceimmediately. Maintain a tidy, hazard-free work zone and uphold Gilco’s zero-incident goal.Qualifications Education: ITI or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical stream. Experience: 1–4 years in elevator mechanical installation preferred; fresherswith internship exposure may apply.Technical Knowledge Mechanical assembly and alignment of elevator components. Safe handling of heavy lift equipment and rigging tools. Reading GA/layout drawings and understanding shaft dimensions. Use of measurement instruments (spirit level, plumb line, torque wrench,vernier, etc.)
