A Medical Counselor serves as a key communication bridge between healthcare institutions and prospective patients or students, depending on the setting. Key Responsibilities:
1. Patient or Client Counseling

Interact with walk-in, online, or referred clients and patients to understand their needs.

Provide accurate information regarding available medical services, treatments, courses (for institutions), or procedures.

Help individuals understand the benefits, risks, costs, and timelines related to their choices.

Support patients or students in making confident, informed decisions.
2. Lead Management and Follow-Up

Follow up with leads generated through calls, website inquiries, marketing campaigns, or referrals.

Maintain regular communication with prospective clients until conversion.

Provide timely follow-ups via phone, WhatsApp, email, or in-person interactions.

Convert leads into walk-ins or confirmed admissions/bookings, depending on the nature of the institution.
3. Documentation and Reporting

Maintain detailed records of interactions, consultations, and decisions.

Prepare reports on daily counseling activities, lead status, conversions, and feedback.

Ensure data entry in CRM or lead management systems with complete accuracy.

Coordinate with the admissions, operations, or medical team for record-sharing and updates.
4. Coordination and Support

Coordinate appointments, consultations, tests, or admission processes.

Assist patients or students with form-filling, registration, documentation, and financial queries.

Serve as a liaison between the client and departments such as doctors, academic coordinators, or administrative officers.

Arrange facility visits or virtual walkthroughs, when applicable.
5. Marketing and Outreach Participation

Participate in promotional campaigns, medical camps, or education fairs (if required).

Promote medical services or academic programs through online and offline communication.

Maintain relationships with referral networks and provide them updates or feedback.
