Job Description
Applications are invited for the one position of Junior Research Fellow/Senior Research Fellow (Project) for the following time-bound sponsored project as per the details given below:
1. Position: Junior Research Fellow/Senior Research Fellow (Project) (One position only)
2. Name of the project: “Characterization of a cyclindependent kinase that interacts with the insulin signaling pathway to regulate germ cell maturation stress response and aging” funded by SERB
3. Tenable till– 26.03.2022
4. Educational Qualifications:
(i) Senior Research Fellow: M.Sc./M.Tech degree in any area of Life Sciences with good academic record. M.Sc. candidates should have qualified any National Level Eligibility test such as (NET/GATE etc) for applying the above position. The candidates should have two years of research experience.
(ii) Junior Research Fellow: M.Sc./M.Tech degree in any area of Life Sciences with good academic record. M.Sc. candidates should have qualified any National Level Eligibility Test such as (NET/GATE etc) for applying the above position.
5. Emoluments:
(i) Senior Research Fellow (P): 35,000/- consolidated p.m. plus 24% HRA (As per DST OM dated 30.01.2019).
(ii) Junior Research Fellow (P): 31,000/- consolidated p.m. plus 24% HRA (As per DST OM dated 30.01.2019).
6. Job Description and Desired Knowledge:
(i) Senior Research Fellow (P): Candidates should have Hands-on experience in molecular biology (cloning, RNA isolation, quantitative real-time PCR, western blotting), cell culture, microbiology is desirable. Candidates with experience in handling C.elegans, Drosophila or other model organisms will be preferred.
(ii) Junior Research Fellow (P): Candidates should have Hands-on experience in molecular biology (cloning, RNA isolation, quantitative real-time PCR, western blotting), cell culture, microbiology is desirable. Candidates with experience in handling C.elegans, Drosophila or other model organisms will be preferred.
