Network Engineer Job in Priceline at Mumbai

Job Description: Develops, sets and maintains computer networks. Supports users and troubleshoots problems. Involves in designing new networks and ensures the integrity of high availability infrastructure to provide maximum performance for users.

Responsibilities: Establishes the working environment by designing system configuration; directs system installation, defines, documents and enforces system standards. Designs and implements new solutions and improves resilience of the current environment. Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems/outages, schedules upgrade and collaborates with network architects on network optimization. Undertakes data network fault investigations in local and wide area environments using information from multiple sources. Secures network systems by establishing and enforcing policies and defining and monitoring access. Supports and administers firewall environments in line with IT security policy. Reports network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information and managing projects. Upgrades data network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases. Configures routing and switching equipment, hosted IP voice services and firewalls. Provides remote support to on-site engineers and end-users/customers during installation. Provides remote troubleshooting and fault finding during initial installation. Undertakes capacity management and audit of IP addressing and hosted devices within data centers. Liaises with project management teams, third-line engineers and service desk engineers on a regular basis.

Teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate with different teams across the organization. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload.

Experience: 2-4 years of related experience.

Education: Bachelors’ Degree of Science in Engineering.
