Job Title: Network Engineer / Network Specialist / Technical Solutions Leader
Exp: 2 years – 11 years
Job Location: Gurgaon
Qualification : B.E/B.Tech/B.S.c / BCA / M.E/M.Tech /MCA/M.S.c
Shifts: Rotational Shifts 24*7 including night shifts
Roles & Responsibilities:
· Provide remote technical support for identified products 24x7 when required.
· Provide remote technical support to Customers for upgrade & delivery related activities.
· Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Tier-2, Product Management, Technical Publications and Training.
· Create, review, validate and publish required MOP/KBA documents.
Contribute to knowledgebase
Skills for Optical :
· Candidates should have strong troubleshooting experience on Ciena 6500, 5430 etc
· Good knowledge of SDH/ DWDM / OTN / ASON theory/operations.
· Worked intensively on NMS/EMS.
· Working experience on Ciena 6500 & 5400 family nodes.Exposure to advanced Optical Networks including ROADMs/WSS/Control Plane/OTN switching.
· Extensive Performance Monitoring & Alarms analysis on SDH, DWDM, & OTN.
Skills for Packet :
· Candidate should have strong experience on IP/MPLS
· Should have good experience with Carrier Ethernet: Services like E-LINE, E-LAN, E-TREE, VLAN (802.1Q, QinQ, 802.1ah, 802.1ay), Ethernet Ring Protection (G.8032), RPR, STP, RSTP, MSTP, MPLS-TP, Pseudowire, QoS & Traffic Engineering CFM, OAM, Y.1731, RFC 2544, Sync-E
Skills for NMS :
· Candidates should have good experience on NMS troubleshooting, monitoring,
· Should have experience on FCAPS, NMS server, Ciena one control, Ciena blue planet, Solaris, Netact, ESM etc
· Monitor NMS to verify the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes.
· Review system and application logs on a regular basis.
· Monitor scheduled jobs such as backups for nodes and NMSs/EMSs and fix if there is any discrepancy found.
· Manage NMS server, prepare and maintain health check reports.
· Switchovers the services from the Main server to Standby server whenever required to reduce the system downtime.
· Manage day to day activities such as login issues, OS issues such as high CPU utilization, process handles etc.,
· Implement OS patches and upgrades as and when required.
· Upgrade administrative tools, utilities and configure/add new services etc.,
· Responsible for performance tuning, hardware upgrades and resource optimization.
· Responsible for application logs, services logs and server logs analysis as part of troubleshooting.
· Analyse the trap/Events/and syslogs from devices and NMS server for finding the root course of the reported Issue.
Interview Process :
· V&A ( comm round ): 1st round will be a V&A round to check the basic level of communication for all candidates
· Technical round: 2nd round will be the technical round
· Managerial round: Final round will the manager round of discussion
