Job Description

Shanta Ayurveda Hospital is looking for 'Night Shift Incharge', Its a Manager On Duty position. Candidates will be performing the below roles.
  • Hospital Management
  • Hospital Administration

Looking for candidates with good English communication and can handle the hospital operations during night.

Key Responsibilities

1. Hospital Operations & Administration

  • Supervise overall hospital functioning during the night shift.

  • Ensure all departments (nursing, housekeeping, security, emergency, etc.) are staffed adequately and performing their duties.

  • Monitor and manage hospital facilities to ensure cleanliness, safety, and availability of required equipment.

  • Handle shift-related administrative tasks including logging incidents, maintaining records, and preparing reports for the day shift management.

  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

2. Patient Care Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients and their families during the night shift.

  • Address patient concerns, complaints, or service-related issues promptly and professionally.

  • Coordinate with the nursing staff to ensure all patients receive appropriate care and attention.

  • Monitor critical patients and ensure proper escalation to doctors in case of emergencies.

  • Ensure the patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes are followed smoothly at night.

3. Staff Supervision & Coordination

  • Lead and guide nursing, support, and security staff during night operations.

  • Assign tasks and ensure workload is managed effectively.

  • Handle staffing adjustments in case of absences or emergencies.

  • Encourage teamwork and resolve any conflicts or issues among staff.

4. Emergency Response & Incident Management

  • Act as the hospital’s decision-maker during emergencies in the absence of senior management.

  • Coordinate with on-call doctors, ambulance services, and emergency care units when needed.

  • Document all incidents, emergencies, and critical events accurately for review by day management.

  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including fire safety and security checks.

5. Administrative & Reporting Duties

  • Maintain night shift records including patient status, staff attendance, and incidents.

  • Prepare end-of-shift handover reports for the incoming shift in the morning.

  • Ensure that hospital resources (medicines, supplies, and equipment) are used efficiently and replenish stock when required.
