SRF/Project Trainee recruitment in National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences on contract basis

DBT Project –II entitled “ Unraveling genetic and epigenetic landscape of gliblastoma: Insights into the therapy resistance and recurrence “Programme support on molecular Neuro-Oncology (Phase II)”


Senior Research Fellow /2 Posts (One in each project (Project I & II)

Educational Qualification : MSc/PhD in Life sciences or M.Tech/PhD Biotechnology Desirable Qualification Atleast 6 months of exposure to neuropathology and/ or Neuro Oncology related work with background knowledge of Brain tumor research. Preferably know the use at least 5 of the following techniques:  Histopathology techniques, Fluorescent in-situ Hybridization (FISH), Conventional PCR and/or real time qPCR .Immunohistochemistry (IHC) ,Tissue Micro Array (TMA) . DNA and RNA Isolation from fresh/FFPE tissue. Methylation studies. Polymerize chain reaction (PCR) . Electrophoresis

Project Trainee /1 (one) for (Project – I)

Educational Qualification : Undergraduate II PUC Experience English Shorthand & Typewriting. Well- Versed Computer skills, making indents & Inventory, Follow up with vendors, maintain of project accounts & administrative correspondence, making arrangement for project meeting, experience with on line application. Desirable Qualification Experience in working on research project/s for atleast 2 years (Brain tumor). Experience in patient coordination for at least one year

Project Trainee / 1 for (Project-2)

Educational Qualification:  Master in Social work/ M.Phil in Social Work/ MSc in Life Sciences Experience Previous experience of working in projects Care and social support, data collection and entry. Desirable Qualification Preferably three languages, including Kannada & English. Experience with Statistical software.
