National Institute of Technology Warangal (NIT Warangal) invites application for the position Technical Assistant / Project Assistant
Project Title: “Science, Communication, Popularization and Extension” (SCoPE)
No. of Positions: 2
Period of Contract: One year from the date of appointment and extendable one more year on satisfactory performance
Essential Qualifications: First Class B.Sc / B.Tech / MCA with not less than 60% aggregate or not less than 6.5 CGPA andFluency in spoken and written Telugu Language.
Desirable: Working knowledge on Computer Operations (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, etc.)Fluency in Letter Typing and Document Type Setting Computer Skills on Animations, Graphics, PageMaker, Photoshop, etc., Web Design, HTML, Networking, Management of Virtual Meetings, etc Experience in Popular Science Writing, Story Writing in Telugu Ability to translate technical articles from English to colloquial Telugu Exposure to Telugu literature and command on school level basic sciences Preference is given to those who had Telugu as the medium of instruction atleast upto 10th standard/SSC Experience in science journalism, science popularization
Monthly Salary: Rs 20,000 to Rs. 30,000 PM (Depending on multifaceted talent and experience)
Job Nature: Document Typesetting/ Design of Posters/Creation of web links / Maintenance of Accounts by Excel or Access / Preparation of Technical Reports / Translation of English science and technical articles into lucid Telugu.
Age Limit: Preferably below 50 years (should be able to travel independently)
