Minimum Educational Qualification:
(A) For the Post having GP-1900/2000 in 10+2 or its equivalent.
(B) For the post hamg GP-Rs. 2400 (Technical): Pass 10+2 in Science i.e. Maths or Physics or equivalent.
(C) Forthe post having GP Rs. 2800: A university Degree or its equivalent.
Period Of Reckoning Sports Achievements: The sports achievements ofcurrent & previous two financial years will be taken into account for eligibility. Therefore, the sports achievements of 01.042019 or afterwill only be considered
Grade Pay (In Rupees): 2400 (Leve14) OR 2800 (level-5) 1900 (level-2)OR 2000 (level-3)
Pay Band (In Rupees): 5200-20200
Age Limit: 18-25 years as on 01.07.2022. No age relaxation is permissible.
Application Fees: Exam Fee: For candidates belonging to SC, ST, Ex- Servicemen. Persons With Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs), Women, Minorities and Economically Backward Classes: 250/-, All other candidates: 500/-

The North Eastern was formed on 14th April 1952 by combining two Railway systems (Oudh and Tirhut Railway and Assam Railway) and Cawnpore-Achnera section of the BB&CIR. It was bifurcated into two Railway Zones on 15th Jan. 1958 – North Eastern Railway and North East Frontier Railway. The present N. E. Railway (NER), after re-organisation of Railway Zones in 2002, comprises of three Divisions - Varanasi, Lucknow & Izatnagar. NER has 3450 route kms with 486 stations. NER primarily serves the areas of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarkhand & western districts of Bihar.
