North Eastern Regional Institute of Water and Land Management (NERIWALM) invites application for the position Assistant Librarian and Information Officer

Pay Level (as per 7th CPC): L-7
Qualification: One post of Assistant Library and Information Officer in Level - 7 (Rs. 44,900-1,42,400) in the Pay Matrix is required to be filled up by Deputation from amongst Officers under the Central Government/State Government/Public Sector Undertakings/Semi Government/ Statutory/ Autonomous Organizations/ Societies.
(a) Holding analogous post on regular basis in Pay Level-7 (Rs. 44,900-1,42,400) in Pay Matrix in relevant field. OR
(b) With 5 years regular service in posts in Level 6 (Rs. 35,400-1, 12,400) in Pay Matrix in present cadre/Department in relevant field. OR
(c) With 11 years regular service in post in Pay Level - 5 (Rs. 29,200-92,300) in Pay Matrix in present cadre / Department in relevant field. AND
i. Essential: Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science of a recognised University/ Institute.
ii. Desirable: Masters in Library Science or Library and Information Science of a recognised University/ Institute.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 56 years

A historic MoU was entered upon by the Ministry of Water Resources (MoWR), Government of India with the NEC and the DoNER ministry on 01 June, 2012 in New Delhi by which NERIWALM is taken over by the MoWR w.e.f. 1st April, 2012 as a capacity building institution in the field of water and land management for Irrigation and Agriculture development.
