Advertisement for Admission to Ph.D. Programme

School of Humanities & Social Sciences
Applications are invited for admission to Ph.D. program in following disciplines and areas of research in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences for the semester commencing in February, 2020
1. Economics (Health Economics)
2. Management (Financial Inclusion, Financial Literacy, Consumer Behaviour)
3. History (India-Caribbean History, Early Medieval Indian History, Modern History)
4. Sociology (Himalayan Tribes, Social Movement, Ethnicity, Urban Studies, Sociology of Religion, Post-Reform India)
5. English Literature
6. Cognitive Science and Psychology
Note: School reserves the right to recruit/not recruit for any area advertised for.
Full time research scholar position a. Eligibility for application: i. Post-Graduate degree in relevant field with minimum 55%; in case of SC/ST/OBC/PH it is relaxed up to 5%. ii. Must have qualified UGC–JRF/NET or Equivalent examination.
2. Part-time research scholar position a. Part-time position is open to: i. Candidates working on Faculty position in academic institutions in HPor J&K. ii. Candidates working in organisations of repute in any part of country.
b. Eligibility for application: Two years of work experience, and PostGraduate degree in relevant field with minimum 55%; in case of SC/ST/OBC/PH it is relaxed upto 5%.
