Post doctoral/Doctoral Fellowships for Overseas Candidates - Faculty of Science
Alagappa University invites applications for Postdoctoral Fellowships (PDF)/Doctoral Fellowships in various Science disciplines. The applicants should have acquired Ph.D./Master degree in the frontier areas of science from reputed institutions abroad where internationally acclaimed scientists are working. Only international applicants with good academic/research credentials and orientation towards research are eligible to apply for these fellowships.
Eligibility for PDF: The applicant must have a good a Ph.D. degree in Science or Engineering from a
recognized University abroad, not before two years from the date of application.
The upper age limit for the fellowship is 35 years at the time of the submission
of application. However, age relaxation of 5 (five) years will be given to
Physically Challenged and Women candidates.
Fellowship and other benefits:Selected PDFs will be awarded a sum of Rs. 50,000/- per month (consolidated) and contingency grant of Rs. 50,000/- per annum for consumables, chemicals and domestic travel for attending conferences/seminars. International air travel is permissible for the
first time arrival by the shortest route from originating country by economy class. The
fellows are not eligible to receive any other fellowship from any Government or NonGovernmental source during the tenure of the fellowship.

equivalent) in Science or Engineering or in the Interdisciplinary Area awarded by a recognized University.
