Principal Tasks & Responsibilities 1. Business & Financial Performance Own and deliver budgeted revenue, margins, and profitability for assigned geographies. Ensure sustainable revenue growth through primary and secondary sales initiatives. Manage Ex-India sales, ensuring compliance with regulatory, trade, and local requirements. Monitor cost structures and implement cost control measures to maximize ROI. 2. Sales & Demand Generation Develop and execute strategies to expand market coverage, prescription generation, and product off-take. Drive secondary sales growth across key markets and channels. Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective measures to achieve targets. 3. New Business Development Lead strategic participation in institutional, government, and tender-based businesses. Identify new market opportunities and develop entry strategies. 4. Strategic Growth & Channel Management Build and maintain long-term partnerships with distributors, agents, and key accounts. Design and implement market penetration strategies through multi-channel approaches. Optimize performance of channel partners and manage distributor network effectively. 5. Leadership & Strategic Planning Translate corporate vision into actionable regional and country-level sales and marketing plans. Provide strategic inputs for long-term growth initiatives and organizational planning. Lead cross-functional alignment with manufacturing, supply chain, finance, regulatory, and marketing teams. 6. Subsidiary & Regional Oversight Manage subsidiaries and regional operations with full P&L accountability. Ensure compliance with corporate governance, systems, and policies. Oversee operational efficiency, inventory management, and customer satisfaction. 7. Marketing Strategy Execution Ensure effective execution of corporate and local marketing strategies. Strengthen brand presence and market positioning across geographies. Align marketing initiatives with sales execution for maximum impact. 8. Talent Management & Capability Building Lead, mentor, and develop Sub-Regional Heads and senior sales leaders. Implement Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and succession strategies. Build a high-performance culture emphasizing accountability, ethical practices, and results. 9. Business Planning & Governance Conduct market assessments, sales forecasting, and budgeting exercises. Lead periodic business reviews and ensure data-driven decision-making. Establish robust reporting, compliance, and governance mechanisms. Key Skills & Competencies Strong leadership, strategic vision, and execution capabilities Expertise in Pharmaceutical sales, marketing, tender, and international business P&L management and financial acumen Stakeholder management, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Analytical mindset and data-driven decision-making Ability to build, mentor, and lead large high-performing teams Professional Qualifications Postgraduate degree in Management / Marketing or equivalent Extensive experience in pharmaceutical sales and marketing with proven senior leadership exposure Experience managing multi-geography operations, large teams, and Ex-India markets.
