Job Description
- Alfa Laval India Pvt Ltd is looking for a Project Engineer for Pune,Baner location. The person would be responsible for Mechanical engineering activities on development, standardisation or customer projects professionally and to the customers' expectations.He/She would be responsible to deliver inputs to Engineering team and also handle documents fo project engineering & supplier.The incubment would also review documents,P&IDâs,GA Layout,Facrication drawing,Piping isometrics & BOM.He/She would also be responsible for creating manual & data sheets.
The scope of the role to include below responsibilities: - Creating data sheets.
- Creating P&ID´s
- Creating Equipment, Valves & Instrument List.
- Handling Projects documents database (Promis).
- Reviewing / Checking of documents P&IDs, GA Layout, Fabrication drawings, Piping Isometrics & BOM.
- Reviewing / Checking Piping Specs., Datasheet for components placed on system as per project specifications.
Knowledge and Competencies :
- Strong knowledge in project / detail engineering mainly in process industries.
- Experience in the field of skid mounted systems for power & Oil & Gas will be added advantage.
- Well versed with engineering procedures and international codes & standards.
- Should be conversant with Excel, Word and Power Point .
- Hands-on experience on CAD.
- Techno-commercial mindset
- Working experience from Power, chemical process industry
- Capable of working independently on P&ID, GA layout and component specifications
- First-hand experience of dealing with EPC consultants like e.g. UHDE, AKER, TOYO, EIL
- Awareness of level of documentation required by engineering consultants
- Commitment to project deliverables
- Basic questioning and listening skills
- Basic presentation skills
- Basic negotiation skills
- Basic legal and contract management skills
- Basic project management skills
- Fluent written and spoken English

Experience: 5-8 years of experience in project Engineering role with Project Business industry.
Qualification : Degree in Chemical / Mechanical Engineering at university level.
