Project Fellow (Ecology/ Remote Sensing & GIS) job vacancies in Wildlife Institute of India on contract basis
Project Title : “Management issues of Kaziranga Tiger Reserve”
1. Project Fellow
(Ecology)
Qualification : Masters’ Degree in Wildlife Science/ Botany/ Zoology/ Forestry/ Life Science/ Environmental Sciences or management/ Biodiversity conservation with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a recognized university.
Desirable : > 1 year experience of wildlife surveys, camera trapping, habitat assessment.
2. Project Fellow
(Remote Sensing & GIS)
Qualification : Master's degree in Geo-informatics/M.Tech. in Remote Sensing & GIS or related subjects or Wildlife Sciences/ Environmental Science or management or related subject from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks and experience of application of Remote Sensing & GIS in wildlife/forestry.
Desirable : Experience of working on application of GIS and Remote Sensing technology in the assessment of wildlife habitat.
3. Project Fellow
(Human dimension)
Qualification : Masters’ Degree in Wildlife Science/ Forestry/ Life Science/ Environmental Sciences or management/ Ecology, Environment and Sustainable Development/ Political sciences/ Statistics/ Anthropology/ Sociology/ Social Science/ Economics or related subjects with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a recognized university.
Desirable : >1 year experience of working on community participation in natural resource management, protected area – people interface, socioeconomic surveys or any other aspects of human dimension in wildlife conservation.
Emoluments : Rs. 25000+HRA and admissible allowances
Age Limit : Not exceeding 35 years as on the date of interview. Upper age limit in case of applicants belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories may be relaxed as per the rules.
