Position in Wildlife Institute of India (WII)
Name of Project : Developing a collaborative management
strategy for conservation of tigers in North East India, Component 1: Status
and Conservation of Tigers and Their Habitats in Hill Ranges of North East
India with special reference to Mishmi Hills, Manipur and Nagaland
Project Fellow

Qualification : Masters’
Degree in Wildlife Science/ Botany/ Zoology/ Forestry/ Life Science/ Social
Science/ Environmental Sciences/ Statistics/Anthropology from a recognized University
and minimum one year work experience in similar field.
Desirable : Preferably having experience/interest in:
natural history of north-east India, wildlife surveys, camera trapping,
socio-cultural surveys, quantitative methods, R, GIS-RS and most importantly
keen desire to carryout arduous field work in the remote and rugged landscape
of north east India under extreme cold or rainy conditions with minimal
logistic support.

Application Fee
a. Applicants/candidates are required to pay a
non-refundable fee of Rs. 500/- per
project.
b. Rs. 45/- extra
would be charged as service charges of online payment. Hence the total amount
to be paid for registration is Rs. 545/- (Five hundred forty five only)
c. Candidates are required to make application fee payment
through debit card/credit card/net-banking (service charges apply for all banks
will be borne by the candidates). The candidates will be
automatically/redirected to make online payment (wherever fee is applicable)
once the form is successfully completed. No other mode of payment will be
accepted.
d. Application fee once paid will not be refunded under any
circumstances. Candidates are therefore requested to verify their eligibility
