Job Summary
The Telecom Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and delivering telecom network projects within defined timelines, budgets, and quality standards. The role involves managing cross-functional teams, coordinating with customers, vendors, and stakeholders, and ensuring successful deployment of telecom infrastructure and services.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end telecom projects including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
Coordinate network rollout, deployment, integration, optimization, and acceptance activities.
Prepare project plans, schedules, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to scope, timelines, quality, and budget.
Liaise with customers, operators, vendors, and internal teams for project delivery.
Track project KPIs and provide regular status reports to management and clients.
Manage change requests, project documentation, and stakeholder communications.
Ensure compliance with telecom standards, safety guidelines, and organizational processes.
Handle issue resolution, escalation management, and project governance activities.
Support customer acceptance, project handover, and closure activities.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of Telecom Networks (2G/3G/4G/5G, RAN, Core, Transmission).
Experience in network deployment, integration, rollout, or optimization projects.
Project management methodologies and tools (MS Project, Jira, Excel, etc.).
Budgeting, resource planning, risk management, and stakeholder management.
Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
Understanding of telecom OEM platforms such as Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei, or ZTE.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field).
PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
Experience working with telecom operators and managed service environments.
