Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (TIFR), Mumbai hereby invites applicants for “Walk-in-Interview” for three positions of ‘Project Scientific Assistant- B’ for Vigyan Pratibha and Junior Science Olympiad at HBCSE.
Minimum Qualification & Experience: B.Sc./ B.S. in any discipline with 60% marks or equivalent CGPA and one year of post-qualification experience. OR B.Sc./ B.S. in any discipline with 60% marks or equivalent CGPA followed by Masters degree in any subject. Those with Engineering degree with 60% or equivalent CGPA may also apply.
VIGYAN PRATIBHA PROJECT PROJECT SCIENTIFIC ASSISTANT- B (PSA-B): 2 positions (1-UR, 1-SC)
Job Description: The candidates are expected to assist in creation of educational materials under vigyan pratibha project. They are also expected to assist in school visits across the state to assist teachers in implementation of the project in the schools.
Desirable: Experience in teaching/ scientific writing/ development of activities is desirable. One of the two posts will preferentially be allocated to a candidate with mathematics background/ one who can contribute to material development in mathematics.
JUNIOR SCIENCE OLYMPIAD PROJECT SCIENTIFIC ASSISTANT- B (PSA-B): 1 position (1-OBC)
Job Description: The candidate will be involved in development and standardization of challenging experiments in various disciplines of science. He/ She will also be assisting the cell members in various other activities and organization of the programmes of the cell.
Desirable: Proficiency in English and basic computer skills is desirable. The positions are purely temporary, for one year in the first instance and extendable by one or two more years based on the performance of the candidate.
A consolidated monthly honorarium of Rs. 44,000/- (inclusive of HRA Rs. 7,600/-) will be paid.
Age: Below 28 years*.
