Job Description
- Location: Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu, India
- We are looking for a counsellor to employ in Childline 1098 (24/7 emergency and community program to assist children in need of protection).
- Start date: immediate
- Full-time (shifts)
- Giving counselling to children in emergency situations;
- Collaborating and coordinating with local government, local committees, local partners and volunteers in Tiruvannamalai district;
- Collaborating and coordinating with other team members and program coordinator;
- Manual reports and official documentation;
- Awareness program activities in communities and schools.
- Bachelor/master degree (Social Works, Psychology);
- Minimum experience in counselling: 6 months;
- Preferable experience in working with children and children's rights;
- Driving skills; in possession of a vehicle;
- Ability to handle emergencies and conflicts;
- Mother-tongue knowledge of Tamil;
- Preferable good knowledge of English;
- Keen interest in working with children.
