Key Responsibilities and Duties
Order Processing: Prepare, place, and track purchase orders (POs) for goods and services.
Vendor Management: Maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate terms, and resolve discrepancies in deliveries or invoices.
Documentation & Data Entry:
Update purchasing records, databases, and spreadsheets with accurate info on prices, inventory, and suppliers.
Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory audits to ensure adequate supplies.
Administrative Support: Assist the purchasing manager with daily operations, reports, and, in some cases, travel arrangements.
