Working Days - Monday to Saturday.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop a purchasing strategy.
- Review and process purchase orders.
- Manage other members of the purchasing team.
- Maintain records of goods ordered and received.
- Negotiate prices and contracts with suppliers.
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors.
- Select prospective vendors and negotiates contracts.
- Evaluate vendor based on quality, timeliness and price.
- Schedule deliveries and ensures timely fulfilment of orders.
- Research and evaluate vendors to compare pricing and services.
- Coordinate with fellow managers to monitor inventory and determine supply needs.
- Ensure quality of procured items and addresses problems when they arise.
- Keep up with trends in procurement.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 to 10 years of work experience as Assistant Purchase Manager or Assistant Purchasing Manager or Assistant Purchasing Agent or Assistant Purchase Agent.
- Bachelor’s degree from any field.
- Diploma Degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration will be preferred.
- Attention to detail.
- Experience using procurement software and databases.
- Negotiation Skills.
- Research and Analytical Skills.
- Effective Communication Skills.
- Supervisory Experience.
