Position Description (Role Purpose And Day-to-day Responsibilities)

Leverage e-MDV tool to find like items and validate CMMIDs for Corningâs material master data which covers all businesses Validate new item class items, item technical specs, Supplier master data validation, Banking detail validation: 3-4 checks including legal name, valid e-mail, valid domain.

Analyze data to continuously improve of data quality and processes, also create monthly data improvement metric reports. Perform quality checks per standard operating procedures

Troubleshoots for solutions in all data-related problem areas.

Position Scope (Breadth Of Work Required By The Job)

Responsible for validating critical material, item, and supplier master data. This includes validating master data in Ariba, ERPs, eMDV, PeopleSoft, and SAP instances.

This individual will leverage provided tools to validate banking details before supplier master data is changed in the ERP.

Banking validations to included, but not limited to, supplier legal names, email addresses, contact information, and valid domain.

The banking validation serves as a second layer of defense against fraud protection. They will also ensure that we have the right compliance processes in place that ensure data standards are being followed by the businesses.

Required Skills

Master data management experience preferably in procurement/ supply chain domain preferably including use of Ariba

Data extraction experience with ERPâs (preferably PeopleSoft & SAP), and Ariba (supplier information management, spend visibility)

Experience with different analytical or database platforms (i.e. Microsoft Access, Oracle, SQL, Power Bi, Tableau)

Experience with industry standards for transferring data between companies preferred (i.e. certified as an ISO 8000 Master Data Manager or experience with ISO 8000/22745 standards)

Education & Experience Required

Degree in Engineering or Science

3-5 Years of Business/Procurement/Supply Chain Experience
