Cultural Quota vacancies in Railway Recruitment Cell - Northern Railway
Non-Technical popular category one Post for Classical Vocal (Singer) and One for Tabla Player in Group 'C'
Qualification: (i) 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate. 50% is notto be insisted upon in case of SC/ST/Ex-SM. (ii) Candidate should possess Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Gayan for Classical Vocal and for Tabla player from Govt. Recognised institute.
Desirable Qualification:(i) Experience in the field and performance on AIR/Doordarshan etc. (ii) Prizes won at national level.
No. of Post : 02 posts
Salary : Rs.5200-20200/- + GP Rs.1900/-
Age limit (Age as on 01.01.2017) : 18 to 29 Yrs.
Examination Fee :
(i) For all candidates except those mentioned in sub-para (ii) below: Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred) only. The IPO should be drawn in favour of FA&CAO/Northern Railway, and payable at New Delhi – 110024. Candidates must write their names & full address in the IPO. The examination fee is not refundable under any circumstances.
(ii) For candidates belonging to SC/ST/Ex. Servicemen/Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), Women, Minorities and Economically Backward Classes: Rs. 250/- (Rupees Two Hundred Fifty) only. Examination Fee will be refundeed to these Categories of Candidate only when they actually appear in the examination.
Note: ‘Minority’ means Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Zoroastrians (Parsis) & Sikhs. Economically Backward Classeswill mean those candidates whose family income is less than Rs. 50,000/- per annum.
Scheme for recruitment : The recruitment process shall consist of the following.
(a) Objective type Written Test to qualify for proficiency test 50 marks
(b) Proficiency Test for Assessment of Talent in the relevant field on the basis of
(i) Practical demonstration -35 marks
(ii) Testimonial/Prizes etc. -15 marks
