Job Description

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the post of Research Assistant to work on the following project sponsored by BITS OPERA Grant, under the supervision of Dr Lavanya Suresh, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad campus

Name of the post: Research Assistant (RA) /No. of posts: One (Temporary)

Duration: Time bound for a period of 6 months. You will be expected to join in the Month of Nov

Fellowship amount: Rs. 20,000 per month (Consolidated)

Eligibility requirements : M.A./ M.Phil. in Social Sciences (Political Science /Sociology/ nthropology/Development Studies/Economics/Gender Studies/Human Rights/Natural Resource Governance/Environment Studies/Geography). Strong command over MS Word / Excel is required. If the candidate is able to demonstrate research and writing skills it will be to their advantage .

Desirable Candidates with prior experience in the social sciences related field work, data collection and data analysis; those who have engaged in report writing/publications in peer reviewed journals; having good command over English will be preferred. Female candidates are encouraged to apply.
