Research Area: Synthesis, characterization and application of suitable semiochemical loaded organogels
Essential Qualifications: A candidate should have a first or high second class M. Sc. degree in Chemistry with minimum average of 55% marks in B.Sc. (Hons.) and M.Sc. examination along with good overall academic record and publications with Ph.D. degree/Thesis submitted for Ph. D. degree in Chemistry/Chemical Biology. Expertise on small molecular gelators is preferable.

Age limit: 34 years, Age relaxation is applicable as per Govt. rule.
Fellowship: Rs. 47000/- per month + 24% HRA as per rules of DBT.
Tenure of Fellowship: Initially for one year and extendable for one more year (at the fixed rate of fellowship as per the sanctioned letter of grant) subject to satisfactory performance as assessed by the Progress Monitoring Committee. The tenure will be counted from the date of joining or till the end of the project tenure, whichever is earlier. The position is purely temporary, and the candidate will not have any right to claim (explicit or implicit) to any permanent post in the Institute.
Interview via video based facility such as Skype however is permissible for candidates applying from abroad subject to the availability of requisite connections.
