Job Description
Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST) invites application for the position Research Associate II
Project entitled: "Documenting cause Of death among tribal population through automated verbal autopsy using information and Communication Technology (ICT)" (P 6118)
Qualification & Experience (Essential):
a. Master of Public Health (MPH)/PÜblic health Nursing/Master of Social Work/Biostatistics/Demography from a recognised university or equivalent And
b. Two year experience in research, scientific activities and services in academic institutions or science and technology institutions.
Qualification & Experience (Desirable):
a) Field experience in community-based research
b) Familiarity with ODK (or similar tools) for data collection
c) Experience in data management and familiar with any data analysis packages such as SPSS/R/STATA
d) Candidates who belong to Wayanad or nearby districts, or who had previous experience of field activities in the district are preferred for filling this vacancy.
Number of vacancies One (OBC)
Consolidated remuneration: Rs. 28,000/- + 16%.HRA per month
Tenure Of Appointment: One year (Extendable) or till completion of the project, whichever is earlier.
Brief job description:
a) Co-ordinate field data collection and field supervision in the study area Of Wayanad
b) Data management and to provide periodic updates to the Research officer/Principal Investigator (Pl) on the status of the project
c) Periodic evaluation Of the project data and preparing reports
d) Job includes extensive field work in Wayanad. However, for the initial phase of the project the candidate needs to be stationed at AMCHSS, and later, he/she has to mostly stay at Wayanad and report at AMCHSS as per the work schedule.
e) Any other task as assigned by Research officer/Pl.
Nature of appointment: Purely on contract
Age Limit: Maximum age limit as on 30-04-2021 35 Years
