Research Associate-1/Junior Research Fellow / Project Assistant-II Biotechnology job recruitment in National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute (NABI)

Research Associate-1/ 1 Post

Essential Qualifications: PhD in Plant Molecular Biology / Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/or M.Tech in above related area with at least 3 years of research experience with at least one research paper in science citation indexed (SCI) journal; Candidates who have already submitted their PhD thesis in above subjects can also apply (along with proof of submission).

Desirable: Research experience in Biochemistry, Molecular biology, Biophysics, Protein chemistry, Gene cloning, transgenic techniques. Preference will be given to candidates with good academic record, and research experience.

Pay Scale :Rs.36000/- + HRA as per rules)

JRF/ 1Post

Essential qualifications: Post Graduate Degree in basic science with NET qualification such as GATE/ICAR/UGC-CSIR/DBT/ ICMR, etc. or Graduate degree in professional course with NET qualification or Post Graduate Degree in professional course.

Desirable: Post graduate (with thesis) in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Biosciences, with experience in developing biosensors for detecting pathogens. Selection Criteria: The RA/JRF will be hired as per the emoluments’ guidelines and service conditions notified by DST (DST OM No.SR/S9/Z-09/2012 dated 21.10.2014) .

Pay Scale : Rs. 25000/- + HRA as per rule and Rs. 28000+ HRA as per rule from 3rd year onwards .

Project Assistant-Level-II/1Post

Essential qualifications: Ist Class M.Sc/ B.E./B.Tech/MBA etc. Desirable qualifications: Prior research or training experience in the field of Agricultural biotechnology/Molecular biology and bioinformatics

Age limit: The upper age limit for applying for RA shall be 35 years and JRF and PA shall be 28 years at time of interview (January 18, 2018), which is relaxed upto 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to Schedule Castes/Schedule Tribes/OBC, Physically Handicapped/Visually Handicapped and female applicants (as per DST rules).

Pay scale :Rs. 8000
