Project Title : "DBT India - IRRI Network project entitled "Marker assisted introgression of different 'traits to develop new generation rice varieties”
a) Research Associate (01 position)
Essential Qualifications: Ph.D in Genetics and Plant Breeding/Plant Breeding/ Agricultural Biotechnology/ Biotechnology/Genetics. Desirable Qualifications: Three years of research experience after Master's degree in relevant subject (Genetics and Plant Breeding/Plant Breeding/Agricultural Biotechnology 'Biotechnology (Genetics) with 4 years/5 years of Bachelor's degree with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed Journal (as circulated vide DST vide OM No.SR/S9/Z-09/20 12 tit. 21.10.2014). Experience in working in rice research for at-least two years. including experience in Marker assisted introgression. NET qualification. Published research papers (3 Nos. Minimum, each with NAAS rating.
Emoluments: Rs.36,000/- per month + HRA .
b) Junior Research Fellow (01 position)
Essential Qualifications : Post Graduate Degree in Agriculture with specialization in Plant Breeding/Genetics/Biotechnology Plant Molecular biology OR Post Graduation in basic sciences (Biotechnology/Plant Sciences/Life sciences Botany with NET qualification. Desirable Qualifications : Two years of Experience in rice research in reputed Institutions/Organizations including experience in Marker Assisted introgression 3 published 'research papers( NAAS rating)
Emoluments: Rs.25.000/- per month
c) Technical Assistant (1 position)
Essential qualifications: Graduate in life Science with experience in rice research Desirable qualifications: M.Sc. in life Science
Emoluments : Rs.8.000/-p.m. (fixed)
2. National Innovations on Climate Reselient Agriculture (NICRA)
a)Research Associate 01 post
Essential Qualifications: Ph.D Degree in Life Sciences: Plant Physiology: Plant Biochemistry/Genetics /Biotechnology OR Master's Degree with 4 years 5 years of Bachelor degree having In division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average with at least two years of research experience with evidence. Desirable Qualifications: I. Experience in analyzing research data and manuscript preparation and at least one research paper in good NAAS rated journals. 2.Experience of handling the next generation sequencing data
Emoluments: Rs.38.000/- per month HRA for Masters Degree Holders and Rs.40.000/- per month HRA for Doctoral Degree Holders.
b) Senior Research Fellow : (5 positions)
Essential Qualifications: Masters Degree in Agriculture from a recognised and reputed [university with 4 years / 5 years of Bachelor's Degree OR PG in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelors Degree and 2 years Masters Degree having NET qualification. Specialization in Life Sciences/Geneties & Plant Breeding:Plant Physiology/ Biotechnology Chemistry/Botany Entomology or related life sciences. Desirable Qualifications Experience in biochemical/Physiological/molecular analysis of rice field & Research experience in rice crop.

Directorate has well equipped laboratories with state of the art
equipments, centrally air cooled greenhouses, bio-safe transgenic
greenhouses, growth chambers, well laid out experimental farm and
digital enabled library facilities. DRR also coordinates rice research
at 47 funded and over 90 voluntary centers under AICRIP.Indian Institute
of Rice Research(IIRR) , formerly All India coordinated Rice
Improvement Project (AICRIP), was established by the Indian Council of
Agricultural Research (ICAR) in 1965 with its national headquarters at
Hyderabad to organize and coordinate multi-location testing of genetic
lines and technologies for crop production and protection jgenerated
across the country. The Project was elevated to Directorate of Rice
Research in 1975 with an added mandate of research in the thrust areas
of irrigated rice. The Directorate continues its multi-location All
India Coordinated Rice Improvement Programmme (AICRIP) with active
partnership of 47 funded cooperating centers affiliated to State
Agricultural Universities (SAUs), State Department of Agriculture and
other Research Institutes of ICAR. Besides, over 90 voluntary centers
operate under AICRIP which also forms a part of the mandate of DRR. In
addition, DRR initiates network projects of national importance and
coordinates these activities.
