Job Description

We are seeking an experienced RF Engineer to join our team and support the design, implementation, and optimization of broadband telecommunications networks. As an RF Engineer, you will work on the development and maintenance of high-performance wireless systems, focusing on broadband wireless technologies like LTE, 5G, and Wi-Fi. This role is crucial to ensuring the delivery of reliable and high-quality broadband services to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

RF Network Design & Optimization:

Design and optimize wireless networks for broadband telecom systems.
Perform network planning, including frequency planning, coverage prediction, and capacity analysis.
Conduct site surveys to assess network performance and coverage.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance:

Identify and resolve RF-related issues such as interference, network outages, and signal degradation.
Perform troubleshooting on network hardware and software components.

Performance Monitoring:

Monitor the performance of RF systems, including signal strength, quality, and interference levels.
Provide continuous optimization recommendations for improving network performance.

Testing & Validation:

Conduct RF testing and validation for new technologies, equipment, and solutions.
Work closely with vendors to ensure equipment meets specifications and performance standards.

Documentation & Reporting:

Prepare technical documentation including design plans, reports, and status updates.
Report performance metrics and optimization results to management.

Collaboration & Coordination:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as network operations, development, and field engineering.
Assist in the integration of new RF technologies and solutions into the network infrastructure.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

Educational Background:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., RF Engineer, Telecom certifications) are a plus.

Experience:

Proven experience as an RF Engineer in broadband telecom environments, including network design, optimization, and troubleshooting.
In-depth knowledge of RF principles, RF propagation models, interference management, and RF equipment.
Hands-on experience with RF measurement tools such as spectrum analyzers, signal analyzers, and drive test equipment.

Technical Expertise:

Proficient in RF design and simulation tools (e.g., iBwave, Atoll, TEMS, and others).
Understanding of wireless technologies (LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi) and standards.
Knowledge of broadband telecom systems and protocols.
Familiar with RF spectrum management and regulatory compliance.

Communication Skills:

Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and team collaboration.
Ability to present technical data in a clear, concise manner.

Problem-Solving:

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Other Requirements:

Willingness to travel for site surveys and troubleshooting (if required).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
