Medical Officer/Music Teacher recruitment in Sainik School Kodagu


(a) Medical Officer / 01 Post

MBBS Degree with minimum 3 years of medical experience of handling children of age group 10-18 years. The following criterion are desirable:- (i) Working experience (full-time / part-time / contractual basis) at Residential Public Schools. (ii) Updated medical knowledge (iii) Should be able function and to take responsibility of the School Infirmary. (iv) Should be ready attend to the medical emergencies at all hours of the day and the night.

(b) Music Teacher (Indian Classical and Western)/ Band Master / 01 Post

Essential: Graduate in/with Music OR Higher Secondary with a degree or diploma in music from any recognized institution.

Desirable: (i) Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in English medium Institutions. (ii) Proficiency in Games/Sports and other extra co-curricular activities/hobbies(iii) Additional qualifications in the Music field will be given preference.

Essential: Potential Band Master/Band Major/Drum Major Course at the AEC Training College and Centre, Pachmarhi OR Equivalent Naval/Air Force Courses. Minimum 3 years Teaching experience as Band Master in any reputed institution. Proficiency in Games/Sports and other extra co-curricular activities/hobbies.

(c) Ward Boy / 01 Post

Essential: Should have passed Matriculation or Equivalent and should be able to converse fluently in English. Desirable: (i) BA/B.Sc/B.Com Degree (ii) Attainments in Sports/Art/Music (iii) For Junior/Holding Houses of Cadets, mature ladies without encumbrances and with minimum 3 years of experience of handling children of age group 10-14 years with affection in any residential school preferred (iv) knowledge of computers & Typing (v) Maintenance of Housekeeping Records (vi) Working experience at Sainik School / Residential Public Schools.

Tenure of contract period will be one year from the date of appointment or last date of Academic Session 2016-17 (March/April 2017) whichever is earlier.

Age as on 01 June 2016: 18 – 50 years as on 01 June 2016 for posts of (a) & (c) and 21 to 35 years for the post of (b).

Selection Procedure: Shortlisted candidates will be called for written test, demonstration and interview.
