Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and goal-driven Sales Executive - Credit Card to join our financial services team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling credit card products to potential customers through direct interactions, outbound calls, and field visits. This role requires a combination of product knowledge, sales skills, and a strong customer-oriented mindset to help clients choose the right credit card solution based on their needs and financial profile.

Position Overview:

The Sales Executive - Credit Card is a front-line sales professional who plays a key role in driving business growth by acquiring new customers. The primary responsibility is to promote and sell various credit card offerings by understanding customer requirements, offering suitable products, and ensuring a smooth application process. This role involves reaching out to individuals through multiple channels including fieldwork, phone calls, and promotional events.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Acquisition

    • Identify potential customers through field visits, referrals, corporate activities, and cold calling.

    • Approach individuals and explain the features and benefits of different credit card options.

    • Match credit card products to the customer’s lifestyle, income, and spending behavior.

    • Encourage sign-ups by effectively communicating promotions, reward programs, and exclusive offers.

  2. Sales Target Achievement

    • Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets set by the management.

    • Generate leads consistently and convert them into successful card issuances.

    • Maintain a pipeline of potential customers and follow up regularly to close sales.

  3. Product Knowledge and Presentation

    • Maintain a thorough understanding of the credit card offerings, including fees, interest rates, credit limits, and rewards programs.

    • Stay up to date on new card launches, promotional campaigns, and changes in terms or features.

    • Present product information to customers in a clear, persuasive, and professional manner.

  4. Application Processing

    • Collect and verify required documentation such as ID proof, address proof, income statements, and photographs.

    • Assist customers in completing the credit card application form accurately.

    • Submit completed applications to the backend or credit team and track the approval process.

    • Ensure that all applications are compliant with internal and regulatory policies.

  5. Customer Relationship Management

    • Provide excellent customer service before and after card issuance.

    • Educate cardholders about using their credit cards responsibly and the importance of timely payments.

    • Handle queries or concerns from applicants and resolve them promptly or escalate when necessary.

    • Follow up with clients after issuance to ensure satisfaction and encourage referrals.

  6. Reporting and Coordination

    • Maintain daily call reports, lead conversion data, and performance updates.

    • Work closely with the team leader or sales manager to review progress and receive guidance.

    • Participate in daily sales meetings and training sessions.

    • Coordinate with credit verification and customer service departments for smooth processing.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum qualification: High School Diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.

  • Prior experience in direct sales, field sales, or telesales, particularly in banking or financial services, is an advantage.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Persuasive and confident with a positive attitude.

  • Good understanding of financial products and basic banking terms.
