Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic, and customer-oriented Sales Girl to join our retail team. The ideal candidate should be confident, well-spoken, and passionate about helping customers make purchases and have a positive shopping experience. This role involves interacting with walk-in customers, explaining product features, handling sales transactions, and maintaining the store’s appearance.
The role is ideal for freshers who are eager to work in a dynamic retail or showroom environment. Training and guidance will be provided. A cheerful personality, presentable appearance, and good communication skills are key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service & Sales Assistance

Greet customers with a smile and offer assistance in choosing products.

Understand the customer’s needs and recommend suitable items based on budget and preference.

Demonstrate product features and benefits clearly and confidently.

Upsell and cross-sell related products to increase the overall value of the sale.

Answer customer queries about pricing, sizes, availability, usage, and offers.
2. Billing and Transactions

Support cash counter staff with billing when needed (based on training).

Handle POS (Point of Sale) machines, barcoding, and receipts (if assigned).

Collect cash, card, or UPI payments in an accurate and secure manner (if trained).

Maintain records of sales made during the shift.
3. Stock Management & Merchandising

Arrange items neatly on shelves, hangers, or counters as per display standards.

Tag new stock with price labels and ensure they are placed in the correct section.

Keep track of low-stock items and inform supervisors for restocking.

Ensure merchandise is clean, well-folded, and undamaged.
4. Store Appearance & Cleanliness

Keep the store area clean, tidy, and organized.

Ensure changing rooms (if applicable) are clean and available for use.

Maintain the neatness of display sections, shelves, and promotional areas.
5. Offers, Promotions & Targets

Inform customers about running promotions, discounts, combo offers, and loyalty programs.

Actively work to meet individual or store-level sales targets.

Support during special events, festival sales, clearance sales, and promotional launches.
Preferred Skills:

Basic knowledge of customer service principles.

Strong verbal communication in local language and/or English or Hindi.

Polite, confident, and presentable.

Basic math skills for handling money and billing (if required).

Familiarity with retail or showroom environment is a plus.

Eager to learn and take direction from senior staff or supervisors.
