Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Manager / Sales Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales, building and maintaining client relationships, and achieving revenue targets. This role requires excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills, along with the ability to work independently and lead a sales team if required.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Planning & Strategy

  • Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to achieve business objectives.

  • Identify target markets, customer segments, and potential leads.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer behavior.

  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for management.

2. Lead Generation & Customer Acquisition

  • Generate new business leads through networking, cold calling, email campaigns, and referrals.

  • Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and meetings with potential clients.

  • Follow up on leads to convert prospects into paying customers.

  • Maintain a pipeline of opportunities to meet sales targets consistently.

3. Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients.

  • Address customer queries, concerns, and feedback promptly.

  • Provide post-sales support and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Develop loyalty programs or initiatives to retain clients.

4. Sales Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and follow-ups.

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports for management review.

  • Document contracts, agreements, and quotations efficiently.

5. Team Management (For Manager Role)

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a sales team to achieve collective goals.

  • Conduct training sessions, performance reviews, and feedback meetings.

  • Allocate territories, accounts, and responsibilities among team members.

  • Monitor individual and team performance metrics to ensure accountability.

6. Continuous Learning & Improvement

  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and new sales techniques.

  • Attend workshops, webinars, and training programs to enhance skills.

  • Recommend improvements in sales processes and customer engagement strategies.

  • Ability to handle customer objections, complaints, and queries professionally.

4. Technical & Digital Skills

  • Familiarity with CRM software, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and sales analytics tools.

  • Ability to leverage digital channels for lead generation and marketing.

5. Leadership & Team Management

  • For managerial roles, ability to lead, mentor, and motivate sales teams.

  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Goal-oriented and self-driven to meet and exceed sales targets.

Eligibility Criteria

Education:

  • Graduate in any discipline; MBA preferred for managerial roles

Experience:

  • Sales Manager/Sales Executive: 2–3+ years of experience with team management

Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and field sales

  • Professional attitude, punctuality, and strong work ethic
