Job Description

A Sales Representative, is responsible for selling products or services and building customer relationships and interaction.
  • Greeting customers and assisting them with their needs.
  • Answering questions about products or services. 
  • Demonstrating product features and benefits. 
  • Building rapport and establishing relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead Generation & Prospecting:

  • Identify new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, and field visits.

  • Approach potential customers and pitch the company’s products/services.

  • Maintain a database of leads, prospects, and customer information.

2. Sales & Customer Acquisition:

  • Present, promote, and sell products/services using solid arguments to prospective customers.

  • Understand customer needs and suggest appropriate products or solutions.

  • Negotiate terms of sales and close deals to meet or exceed targets.

3. Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients.

  • Follow up with customers after sales to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.

  • Handle objections, complaints, or concerns with professionalism and escalate issues if needed.

4. Product Knowledge & Demonstration:

  • Stay informed about product specifications, features, and benefits.

  • Conduct product demonstrations when required to explain value propositions.

  • Keep updated with market trends, competitor products, and pricing.

5. Reporting & Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, transactions, and feedback.

  • Submit daily/weekly/monthly sales reports to the manager.

  • Use CRM tools or apps for tracking sales activities and performance.

6. Team Collaboration:

  • Coordinate with the marketing and customer service teams to enhance customer experience.

  • Share market feedback, competitor information, and customer insights with relevant departments.

  • Participate in training programs, product briefings, and team meetings.
