Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership and Management:

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 5–15 sales executives or agents.

Set daily, weekly, and monthly performance targets for the team.

Conduct regular team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews.
-
Monitor team activity, provide feedback, and ensure accountability for results.
2. Sales Strategy and Execution:

Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve insurance sales targets.

Guide team members in lead generation, product pitching, objection handling, and closing sales.

Drive cross-selling and up-selling of insurance products such as:

Life Insurance
-
Health Insurance
-
Term Plans
-
Motor/General Insurance
-

Collaborate with the sales manager to align goals and implement regional strategies.
3. Recruitment and Training:

Recruit new sales executives or advisors to expand the team as needed.

Provide onboarding, product training, and field coaching to new team members.

Continuously improve the skill set of the team through training on sales techniques, regulatory changes, and product knowledge.
4. Performance Tracking and Reporting:

Track sales targets, conversion rates, and productivity metrics for each team member.

Maintain and update dashboards or CRM tools to reflect sales activities and progress.

Submit daily/weekly/monthly sales reports to senior management.
5. Customer Engagement and Support:
-
Support team members in handling client escalations or complex insurance cases.

Ensure excellent customer service and follow-up for policy renewals and queries.

Help build long-term relationships with key clients and corporate accounts if applicable.
6. Compliance and Ethics:

Ensure that all team members adhere to regulatory guidelines (IRDAI norms), company policies, and ethical practices.

Review sales processes to maintain transparency and trust with customers.

Maintain proper documentation for all insurance transactions and client interactions.
