Job Description
ICRISAT invites applications from dynamic and Indian nationals for the post of Scientific Officer / Bioinformatics in Statistics, Bioinformatics & Data Management Theme. This position is based at ICRISAT Headquarters, Patancheru, Telangana State, India.
Requirements: Master degree in Bioinformatics or Life Sciences or Systems Biology with experience of computational genome biology.Compulsory knowledge of programming and scripting languages (either Perl, Python).Compulsory knowledge of Next-generation sequencing data handling.Knowledge of statistical analysis languages such as R will be preferred.Proficiency in English communication skills (both written and spoken).Strong knowledge of computational analysis of genome sequence data. Should be familiar in working on Unix/Linux operating systems.Should be a good team player and adaptable to working in multicultural team.
