Tata Medical Center, Kolkata invites applications for the positions of Senior/Associate/ Junior Consultant- Histopathology

No of Vacancy: One (Based on years of experience, candidate will be placed as Senior / Associate /Junior Consultant).

Qualification: MD/DNB or equivalent in Pathology

Experience: Minimum 3+ years experience post MD/DNB or equivalent; out of which at least oneyear specialised training in Oncopathology / working in a comprehensive Cancer Centre in a signout capacity.

Brief Job Description: Consultant selected in the Oncopathology section are expected to independently sign-out Histopathology, Cytopathology and Frozen Section biopsy reports, on a departmental rotation basis. Consultant will supervise surgical grossing and FNA procedures performed by Fellows, train Fellows during joint sign-outs and weekly academic training sessions. Consultant will oversee the technical work related to NABL accreditation in the histopathology laboratory and supervise the work done by the laboratory technologists. Consultant will shoulder additional assigned responsibility on rotation in the department, as decided in the departmental meetings. Consultant will be expected to participate in Consensus Reporting meetings as and when required, weekly / fortnightly Multidisciplinary Team (MDTs) meetings with clinicians, engage and contribute in various collaborative research activities and academic publications.

Remuneration: Will be commensurate with years of experience.
