Job Description
NHSRC is seeking applications from eligible candidates for the position of Senior Consultant, Quality Improvement for its branch office – Regional Resource Centre for North Eastern States (RRC-NE) at Guwahati, Assam.
1. Name of Cluster: Quality Improvement, RRC-NE
2. Reporting to: Director, RRC-NE, Guwahati, Assam
3. Name of Position: Senior Consultant, Quality Improvement
4. Number of Position: One
5. Location: RRC-NE Office, Guwahati
6. Objective: As Senior Consultant, Quality Improvement at Regional level, the objective is to strengthen and support the Quality Improvement activities in the North East States.
a. To provide technical assistance and capacity building support to the NE States for strengthening the Public Health System.
b. To support the implementation of National Quality Assurance Program at different levels of Public health facilities.
c. Liasoning with the States for improving Quality of Care in Public Health System and improved Patient Satisfaction.
7. Output: Timely accomplishment of task and responsibilities and regular reporting to the Director, RRC-NE at the end of every month.
8. Qualifications
A. Essential: Must possess MBBS / BDS / BAMS/ BHMS/ BUMS/ BNYS/ BSMS / B.Pharm / B.Sc. Nursing with either of the following Post Graduate Degree/ Diploma (2-3 years regular full time course from a recognized institute)
a. Masters in Public Health. PG Diploma in Public Health
b. PG Degree in Preventive & Social Medicine or Social & Preventive Medicine or Community Medicine
c. M.Sc.(Nursing) in Public Health or Community Health Nursing
d. PG Degree or Diploma in Hospital Management
e. PG Degree or Diploma in Hospital Administration
B. Experience:
a. At least 5 (Five) years post qualification experience of working in Quality Assurance/Health System/Public Health.
b. Excellent communication skills – writing and verbal.
c. Proficiency in MS Office package, any computerised data analytical package is highly desirable.
C. Desirable:
a. Preference may be given to those applicants, who have directly worked on the assignments, resulting into certification / accreditation of hospitals to a recognised quality system such as NQAS, LaQshya, ISO 9001/ NABH/ JCI/ NABL. etc
b. Certified Internal/External NQAS/NABH/NABL Assessors
c. Recognised Qualification in a Quality System, which may be waived off in case of deserving candidates, who have robust field experience d. Experience of working in hospital administration department of a certified facilities, mentioned under para B.a. above.
