Job Description
Major purpose of the Job :
•To take key decisions in consultation with the management at various stages of an R&D
project - right from product finalization to route selection to technology transfer.
•To ensure that the projects falling under the goals purview are as per the plan – w.r.t Cost,
Quality and adherence to Timelines.
Responsibilities:
•To advise the Cluster Heads / Group Leaders & other scientific staff in solving any critical
synthetic/ analytical issues on a regular basis.
•To ensure that the laboratory scale synthesis and validation reports are documented as per
the standard operating procedures before piloting/ commercialization of the technology.
•To review and update the progress on the on-going projects to the management in the form
of monthly reports and departmental presentations for Review meetings.
•To build-up the competency in selective area in chemistry.
•To take key decisions during designing of synthetic strategies for molecules to be developed
in chemical R&D for Regulated and Non-Regulated market.
•To broadly supervise the development (process as well as analytical) of cost effective non-
infringing routes for all molecules.
•To supervise the preparation of the yearly process saving plan.
