Senior Project Ecologists/ Senior Project Biologist  job vacancies in Wildlife Institute of India (WII) on contract basis

Project Title  :  “Study on Blackbuck movements in and around kaimur Wildlife Sanctuary including Reserved Forests of Mirzapur and Sonbhadra districts of Uttar Pradesh in respect of proposal coal based Thermal Power”

Senior Project Ecologists

Qualification  :  Masters’ Degree in Life Sciences/Wildlife Sciences/Forestry/Remote Sensing from a recognized university and should have two years’ experience in Wildlife Survey, occupancy, population estimation, habitat quantification using different approaches, knowledge of GIS, Data analysis, report writing. 

Desirable :  Preference will be given to candidates having working experience in wildlife assessment and Survey.

Senior Project Biologist

No. of Post  :  01

Qualification  :  Masters’ Degree in Life Sciences/Wildlife Sciences/ Forestry/ Biotechnology/ Animal Genetics from a recognized University and should have two years’ experience in DNA related techniques in identifying species and other genetic parameters from faecal matter, collection of samples, Wildlife Survey, knowledge of GIS, Data analysis, report writing.

Desirable :  Preference will be given to candidates having lab experience of two years in knowledge in DNA extraction, PCR amplification, electrophoresis and genetic data analysis

Emoluments :  Rs. 40,000 (Consolidated) per month

Age Limit :  Shall not be more than 40 Years on date of interview. Age relaxation: The upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years as per Government of India rules.
