Senior Scientist Job Opportunity In Mahatma Gandhi University
Qualification and experience: Citizens of India with Ph.D in the relevant area (Viral and Infectious Diseases, Molecular Biology, Developmental or Geriatric Neurobiology) with at least 8 years of post doctoral experience, out of which at least two years should be in a relevant reputed laboratory abroad. The Research experience should be evidenced by high impact publications and patents. Ability to establish Developmental Neurobiology/Geriatric Neurobiology /Electrophysiology/ Molecular Biology/ Virus Research Laboratory independently in IUCBR & SSH is the major requirement as indicated by experience in working with Molecular Biology/Immunology/Genetic Engineerin!Creating transgenic animals.
Number of vacancies: 03 (Three). One vacancy is reserved for OBC (Ezhava/ThiyryalBillava/ Muslim), One Vacancy is reserved to SC and One vacancy from open merit.
Remuneration: Commensurate with experience and achievements in the field of Viral and Infectious Diseases/ Developmental Neurobiology/Geriatric Neurobiology/Electrophysiology/ Molecular Biology/Animal Biotechnology Research areas.
Period of contract: Initially for a period of One year and extendable up to Five years depending upon the project and tenure approval from fundingagencyldepartment.
