Senior VMware Administrator Job in For a Client of TeamLease Digital at Bangalore, Belagavi, Ballari

Administer and maintain VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts and vCenter Server.

Install, configure, upgrade, and patch ESXi hosts and vCenter components.

Manage virtual machine provisioning, cloning, templates, snapshots, and migrations.

Perform VM migrations using vMotion and Storage vMotion with minimal downtime.

Configure and manage High Availability (HA), Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS), and Fault Tolerance (FT).

Monitor cluster health, CPU, memory, storage, and network utilization to ensure optimal performance.

Troubleshoot VMware infrastructure issues related to ESXi, vCenter, VM performance, and host failures.

Configure and manage virtual networking, including Standard Switches (vSS), Distributed Switches (vDS), VLANs, and NIC teaming.

Manage shared storage integration with SAN, NAS, vSAN, FC, and iSCSI storage.

Perform backup and recovery using tools such as Veeam, Commvault, or VMware Data Protection.

Implement security best practices, user access control, and role-based access using Active Directory integration.

Maintain VMware lifecycle management, firmware coordination, and hardware compatibility.

Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and infrastructure diagrams.

Handle incident, change, and problem management activities in accordance with ITIL processes.

Coordinate with server, storage, network, and cloud teams during deployments and migrations.

Support disaster recovery planning, DR drills, and infrastructure restoration activities.

Generate capacity planning and utilization reports for VMware environments.

Provide L2/L3 support for virtualization-related incidents and service requests.
