Your Role and Responsibilities
The Service Delivery Manager, is responsible for leading a team in the delivery of Azure software solutions using the appropriate business measurements and terms and conditions per the project charter, project agreement or contract. They have overall performance responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables, which includes applying techniques for planning, tracking, change control, and risk management. They are responsible for managing all project resources, including subcontractors, and for establishing an effective communication plan with the project team and the client. They provide day to day direction to the project team and regular project status to the client.
The Service Delivery Manager, will provide technical direction and control of IBM Personnel as well as provide a framework for operational project planning, communications, reporting, procedural and contractual activity.

The Service Delivery Manager, will provide technical direction and control of IBM Personnel as well as provide a framework for operational project planning, communications, reporting, procedural and contractual activity.
Responsibilities include:
- Review the SOW and the contractual responsibilities of IBM and the Client;
- Serve as the point of contact to during the execution of the SOW;
- Coordinate the establishment of the project management environment, including reporting tools, monthly reports and governance/ communication protocols;
- Review project tasks, schedules, and resources and make changes or additions, as appropriate;
- Establish documentation and procedural standards for deliverable Materials;
- Administer the Project Change Control Procedure in conjunction with the Client Service Delivery Manager;
- Maintain project communications through the Client Service Delivery Manager;
- Conduct regular status meetings with the Client Service Delivery Manager;
- Create and deliver status reports;
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Extremely well organized, detail-oriented and possessing a high level of integrity
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience designing and/or supporting large enterprise deployments.
- Hands-on experience with Linux/UNIX based operating systems including strong CLI skill set and working knowledge of general system and network troubleshooting tools (e.g. WireShark)
- Good practical working ability with Linux/UNIX utilities, including editors and command shells
- Ability to travel 20 per cent of the time
- CCNP or equivalent certification and/or related work experience
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Hands on experience with VMware ESX Server or VMware products or NSX
- UNIX kernel diagnostics/debugging
- Experience with operation and administration of large Windows Server and Desktop Environments o Experience in administration of complex Storage Area Networks, including Fibre-channel and Ethernet based protocols
- Previous exposure to Cloud Management Platforms such as OpenStack, CloudStack, vRA including Networking enabled by software
- Familiarly of Clustering Technologies such as MS Cluster Server, Redhat clustering, Oracle RAC
- Hands-on and working with key technology solution/language/tools e.g. CloudStack, OpenStack, AWS, KVM, libvirt, Chef, Puppet, Python, CMS, DynamicOps, API, etc.
