Ph.D. Admissions Announcement: Spring-2017
The Department of Electrical Engineering in the School of Engineering at Shiv Nadar University invites applications for admissions to its Ph.D.
Research Areas : Power System and renewable energy, Grid studies with Hybrid Renewable Energy Resources and storage, RF and Microwave (Electromagnetics, Antenna) Engineering, Signal Processing and communication, VLSI Circuit design (Analog and Mixed signal), Wireless mobile communication and networks, Advanced Semiconductor Devices / MEMS Design.
Eligibility : First Division in M.E. / M.Tech. or equivalent in relevant discipline from a recognized Technical Institute or University. OR A good score in GATE-JRF or CSIR-UGC NET-JRF and proven strong aptitude for research is preferred for candidates with B.E. / B.Tech. in relevant branch of engineering or equivalent degree with exceptionally good academic credentials. OR M.S. / M.Sc. students are also eligible under special circumstances. For selection purposes, such candidates will be considered equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. candidates and so must have exceptionally good academic credentials, preferably with a good GATE/CSIR/UGC-NET score, and strong aptitude for research.
Selection Process : Short listed candidates will be intimated well in advance to appear for the written tests and interviews. The written tests and interviews will be conducted at the Shiv Nadar University campus in Gautam Buddha Nagar District (near Greater Noida), U.P. Separate Test and Interview Centers may be opened at various locations within India depending upon the pool of shortlisted applicants.
SNU Fellowship : Rs. 35,000/-
Application Fees : A non-refundable application fees of Rs.1,200 by credit/debit card or Demand Draft drawn in favor of Shiv Nadar University payable at NOIDA.
